Hot Summer-Holy Trinity National Champs
Jim Morris – President of Morris Packaging sponsored and coached the Hot
Summer Holy Trinity 5th grade boys to the AYBT (American Youth Basketball
Tournament) National Championship game. Nick Morris, who is Jim’s son played
on this Summer team that played 37 games. The AYBT tournament is
held in several different cities, including Bloomington, IL, Ft. Wayne, IN
and Shippensburg PA. Sixteen teams participated at the 5th grade level in
Bloomington this year and teams from Iowa, Kansas, Illinois and Michigan
participated in the tournament. The Hot Summer Saints won the
National Championship game against Washington, IL by a margin of 28 – 13 and
were undefeated in their division.
