Meet Chris Nolan: Our Training Manager

One of many examples of an employee that has grown and developed their skillsets to become an integral leader at Morris Packaging is our Training Manager, Chris Nolan. Chris has been with Morris Packaging since the very beginning. Chris began his career at Morris Packaging as a Press Operator in his twenties. He put his efforts into learning and executing his position as Press Operator, but he also actively sought to learn more about other areas of the company. It wasn’t long before Chris was promoted to Supervisor and eventually to his current role as Training Manager.

Chris is just one example of our leadership team sending the ladder back down, mentoring and coaching our new team members. Morris Packaging is genuinely a family-focused business. You are more than an employee; you are a critical part of what we do and how we operate. Each and every team member is unique and brings something to our organization that only they can put forth. It may be a skillset, a personality, an ability to provide solutions, or lead others. We are a people-forward organization and have been from the beginning. Our leadership team works to guide our newest team members to be the best they can be and ultimately better than their Supervisor or Manager.

This style of leadership comes from our owner and founder, Bob Morris. Bob uses a lot of what he learned as an NFL player in building the team here at Morris Packaging. Bob understands and coaches his team to understand that teamwork, communication, self-discipline, and leadership skills are essential on and off the field.

Shane Kirschner, our Quality Control Manager, communicates the fantastic opportunities available for those deciding to work with Morris Packaging. “There’s really a ton of opportunity for an employee walking in the door here, starting at an entry-level position in any given department,” Shane says. Whether you are in the manufacturing side, administrative department, or sales team, there is a path for you to grow at Morris Packaging.
